Talent Connect
Talent
Connect, the state of Michigan's new web-based talent
matchmaking site and central hub for talent, employers and
educators was introduced by Governor Snyder. The site
features information and resources that give job creators
the tools necessary to help identify and develop their
talent base and job seekers the ability to create a
personalized plan to help them find new jobs and effectively
navigate career searches. Nearly 80,000 current jobs
are featured on the site along with career exploration
tools. Pure Michigan Talent Connect will be amplified with a
series of enhancements over the next several months.
Michigan Careers in Transition Program
Chrysler LLC
offered voluntary buyouts to thousands of white-collar
professionals in southeast Michigan. These professionals
represent a variety of fields including finance, human
resources and communications, sales and marketing,
information technology, engineering, and others. In an
effort to keep this talent in Michigan, the State of
Michigan has developed the Michigan Careers In Transition
Program (MCIT).
The Michigan Talent
Bank has been enhanced for the Michigan Careers in
Transition Program. Companies and organizations interested
in connecting with former Chrysler employees can now post a
company profile and/or jobs on the Michigan Talent Bank. In
addition, they can conduct a specialized search to find
resumes of former Chrysler employees.

Council (MMBDC) is a privately funded, non-profit, business
development organization. Through this interactive website, MMBDC
continues to fulfill its primary objective of enhancing business
opportunities and professional development.
The
Economic Development Job Training Grant program provides
training funds for businesses that promote new job opportunities,
advanced training for existing employees, and skilled training for
new workers.
